Description: | IL6, as known as Interleukin-6, is a phosphorylated and variably glycosylated cytokine. It is secreted by T cells and macrophages to stimulate immune response during infection and after trauma, especially burns or other tissue damage leading to inflammation. Also, this protein can function as an anti-inflammatory molecule, as in skeletal muscle where it is secreted in response to exercise. Recombinant canine IL6, fused to His-tag at C-terminus, was expressed in insect cell and purified by using conventional chromatography techniques. |
