Description: | Gstp1 also known as Glutathione S-transferase P 1. Gstp1 is a superfamily of ubiquitously expressed cytosolic, mitochondrial and membrane-associated enzymes involved in a range of detoxification processes. Also Increased Gstp1 levels were consistently associated with reduced Cdk5 activity. Gstp1 directly inhibits Cdk5 by dislodging p25/p35, and indirectly by eliminating oxidative stress. Recombinant mouse Gstp1, fused to His-tag at N-terminus was expressed in E. coli and purified by using conventional chromatography techniques. |
