Description: | DTD1 hydrolyzes D-tyrosyl-tRNA (Tyr) into D-tyrosine and free tRNA (Tyr). It could be a defense mechanism against a harmful effect of D-tyrosine. DTD1 may be a risk factor for aspirin-intolerant asthma (AIA) by catalyzing the hydrolysis of D-tryptophan and interacting with the tyrosyl-tRNA synthetase (tyrRS) enzyme, which promotes a pro-inflammatory phenotype. This protein is localize to the DuE (DNA unwinding element ) s of active replication origins. Recombinant human DTD1 protein, fused to His-tag at N-terminus, was expressed in E. coli and purified by using conventional chromatography techniques. |
