Description: | TXNDC17, also known as thioredoxin domain-containing protein 17, is disulfide reductase. This protein may participate in various redox reactions through the reversible oxidation of its active center dithiol to a disulfide and catalyze dithiol-disulfide exchange reactions. TXNDC17 has peroxidase activity and may contribute to the elimination of cellular hydrogen peroxide. Recombinant human TXNDC17 protein, fused to His-tag at N-terminus, was expressed in E. coli and purified by using conventional chromatography. |
