Description: | Myosin light polypeptide 6 is a hexameric ATPase cellular motor protein. It is composed of two heavy chains, two nonphosphorylatable alkali light chains, and two phosphorylatable regulatory light chains. This gene encodes a myosin alkali light chain that is expressed in smooth muscle and non-muscle tissues. MYL6 participates in generating the force for cellular movements, thereby playing an important role in overall cellular function. Recombinant human MYL6 protein, fused to His-tag at N-terminus, was expressed in E. coli and purified by using conventional chromatography techniques. |
