ALDH3A1 [N-term] [RB16829], Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody

Partner: Abcepta, Inc.

Applications:FC, IHC-P, WB
Species Reactivity:Human
Isotype:Rabbit IgG
Purification:Purified Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody
Description:Aldehyde dehydrogenases oxidize various aldehydes to the corresponding acids. They are involved in the detoxification of alcohol-derived acetaldehyde and in the metabolism of corticosteroids, biogenic amines, neurotransmitters, and lipid peroxidation. ALDH3A1 forms a cytoplasmic homodimer that preferentially oxidizes aromatic and medium-chain (6 carbons or more) saturated and unsaturated aldehyde substrates. The enzyme is thought to promote resistance to UV and 4-hydroxy-2-nonenal-induced oxidative damage in the cornea.
Further Information:This ALDH3A1 antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 69-99 amino acids from the N-terminal region of human ALDH3A1.
Synonym:Aldehyde dehydrogenase, dimeric NADP-preferring, ALDHIII, Aldehyde dehydrogenase 3, Aldehyde dehydrogenase family 3 member A1, ALDH3A1, ALDH3
Ascension Number:P30838
NCBI EntrezGene:218
Shipping Conditions:Ship on cold packs
Storage:Maintain refrigerated at 2-8 C for up to 2 weeks. For long term storage store at -20 C in small aliquots to prevent freeze-thaw cycles.
Usage:Research use only
