Description:	PRDX6 is a member of thethiol-specific antioxidant protein family. This protein is abifunctional enzyme with two distinct active sites. It is involvedin redox regulation of the cell; it can reduce H(2)O(2) and shortchain organic, fatty acid, and phospholipid hydroperoxides. It mayplay a role in the regulation of phospholipid turnover as well asin protection against oxidative injury.
Further Information:	This PRDX6 antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 103-132 amino acids from the Central region of human PRDX6.
