GK [N-term] [RB23979], Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody

Partner: Abcepta, Inc.

Applications:IHC-P, WB
Species Reactivity:Human
Isotype:Rabbit Ig
Purification:Affinity Purified Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody
Description:The product of this gene belongs to the FGGY kinase familyof proteins and encodes glycerol kinase. Glycerol kinase is a keyenzyme in the regulation of glycerol uptake and metabolism. Itcatalyzes the phosphorylation of glycerol by ATP, yielding ADP andglycerol-3-phosphate. Defects in this gene are the cause ofglycerol kinase deficiency (GKD). Alternatively spliced transcriptvariants encoding different isoforms have been identified.
Further Information:This GK antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 24-51 amino acids from the N-terminal region of human GK.
Synonym:Glycerol kinase, GK, Glycerokinase, ATP:glycerol 3-phosphotransferase, GK
Ascension Number:P32189
NCBI EntrezGene:2710
Shipping Conditions:Ship on cold packs
Storage:Maintain refrigerated at 2-8 C for up to 2 weeks. For long term storage store at -20 C in small aliquots to prevent freeze-thaw cycles.
Usage:Research use only
