Description:	This locus encodes a xylosyltransferase enzyme. Theencoded protein catalyzes transfer of UDP-xylose to serine residuesof an acceptor protein substrate. This transfer reaction isnecessary for biosynthesis of glycosaminoglycan chains. Mutationsin this gene have been associated with increased severity ofpseudoxanthoma elasticum.
