Description: | Human CD84/SLAMF5 protein, His tag (Animal-Free), expressed in HEK 293 Cells |
Further Information: | CD84 (SLAMF5) is a member of the SLAM family of cell-surface immunoreceptors. Its cytoplasmic tail binds to Src homology 2 domain-containing protein 1A (signaling lymphocytic activation molecule-associated protein), a protein encoded by the X-linked lymphoproliferative disease gene.Broadly expressed on most immune cell subsets, CD84 functions as a homophilic adhesion molecule, whose signaling can activate or inhibit leukocyte function depending on the cell type and its stage of activation or differentiation. CD84-mediated signaling regulates diverse immunological processes, including T cell cytokine secretion, natural killer cell cytotoxicity, monocyte activation, autophagy, cognate T:B interactions, and B cell tolerance at the germinal center checkpoint. |

Storage: | Lyophilized Human CD84/SLAMF5 protein, His tag (Animal-Free)should be stored desiccated below -20 C. Upon reconstitution, the protein should be stored at 4 C between 2-7 days and for future use below -20 C. For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.116% HSA or BSA). Please prevent freeze-thaw cycles. |
