Description:	Podoplanin (PDPN) is a small mucin-like transmembrane protein, widely expressed in various specialized cell types throughout the body. This is a type-I integral membrane glycoprotein with diverse distribution in human tissues. The physiological function of this protein may be related to its mucin-type character. The homologous protein in other species has been described as a differentiation antigen and influenza-virus receptor.
Further Information:	The antibody has been tested by ELISA, Western blot analysis, Flow cytometry and ICC/IF to assure specificity and reactivity. Since application varies, however, each investigation should be titrated by the reagent to obtain optimal results.

The HeLa cell lysates (40ug) were resolved by SDS-PAGE, transferred to PVDF membrane and probed with anti-human PDPN antibody (1:1000). Proteins were visualized using a goat anti-mouse secondary antibody conjugated to HRP and an ECL detection system.

ICC/IF analysis of PDPN in Hep3B cells line, stained with DAPI (Blue) for nucleus staining and monoclonal anti-human PDPN antibody (1:100) with goat anti-mouse IgG-Alexa fluor 488 conjugate (Green).
