Description: | IDH1, also known as isocitrate dehydrogenase (IDHC) cytoplasmic enzyme, belongs to the isocitrate and isopropylmalate dehydrogenases family. This protein catalyzes the third step of the citric acid cycle, which involves the oxidative decarboxylation of isocitrate, forming alpha-ketoglutarate and CO2 in a two-step reaction. The first step involves the oxidation of isocitrate to the intermediate oxalosuccinate, while the second step involves the production of alpha-ketoglutarate. IDH1 is expressed in a wide range of species and also in organisms that lack a complete citric acid cycle. |
Further Information: | The antibody has been tested by ELISA, Western blot analysis, Flow cytometry and ICC/IF to assure specificity and reactivity. Since application varies, however, each investigation should be titrated by the reagent to obtain optimal results. |
