PIGP [N-term] [RB36402], Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody

Partner: Abcepta, Inc.

Applications:WB
Species Reactivity:Human
Isotype:Rabbit Ig
Purification:Affinity Purified Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody
Description:This gene encodes an enzyme involved in the first step ofglycosylphosphatidylinositol (GPI)-anchor biosynthesis. TheGPI-anchor is a glycolipid found on many blood cells that serves toanchor proteins to the cell surface. The encoded protein is acomponent of the GPI-N-acetylglucosaminyltransferase complex thatcatalyzes the transfer of N-acetylglucosamine (GlcNAc) fromUDP-GlcNAc to phosphatidylinositol (PI). This gene is located inthe Down Syndrome critical region on chromosome 21 and is acandidate for the pathogenesis of Down syndrome. Alternativelyspliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have beendescribed.
Further Information:This PIGP antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 2-30 amino acids from the N-terminal region of human PIGP.
Synonym:Phosphatidylinositol N-acetylglucosaminyltransferase subunit P, Down syndrome critical region protein 5, Down syndrome critical region protein C, Phosphatidylinositol-glycan biosynthesis class P protein, PIG-P, PIGP, DCRC, DSCR5, DSCRC
Ascension Number:P57054
NCBI EntrezGene:51227
Shipping Conditions:Ship on cold packs
Storage:Maintain refrigerated at 2-8 C for up to 2 weeks. For long term storage store at -20 C in small aliquots to prevent freeze-thaw cycles.
