ATG4D [N-term] [RB14788], Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody

Partner: Abcepta, Inc.

Applications:IF, WB, IHC-P
Species Reactivity:Mouse
Isotype:Rabbit Ig
Purification:Purified Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody
Description:Autophagy is the process by which endogenous proteins anddamaged organelles are destroyed intracellularly. Autophagy ispostulated to be essential for cell homeostasis and cell remodelingduring differentiation, metamorphosis, non-apoptotic cell death, and aging. Reduced levels of autophagy have been described in somemalignant tumors, and a role for autophagy in controlling theunregulated cell growth linked to cancer has been proposed. Thisgene encodes a member of the autophagin protein family. The encodedprotein is also designated as a member of the C-54 family ofcysteine proteases.
Further Information:This ATG4D antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 42-71 amino acids from the N-terminal region of human ATG4D.
Synonym:Cysteine protease ATG4D, 3422-, AUT-like 4 cysteine endopeptidase, Autophagin-4, Autophagy-related cysteine endopeptidase 4, Autophagy-related protein 4 homolog D, Cysteine protease ATG4D, mitochondrial, ATG4D, APG4D, AUTL4
Ascension Number:Q86TL0
NCBI EntrezGene:84971
Shipping Conditions:Ship on cold packs
Storage:Maintain refrigerated at 2-8 C for up to 2 weeks. For long term storage store at -20 C in small aliquots to prevent freeze-thaw cycles.

Fluorescent image of U251 cells stained with ATG4D (N-term) antibody. U251 cells were treated with Chloroquine (50 ?M,16h), then fixed with 4% PFA (20 min), permeabilized with Triton X-100 (0.2%, 30 min). Cells were then incubated with AP11448a ATG4D (N-term) primary antibody (1:200, 2 h at room temperature). For secondary antibody, Alexa Fluor 488 conjugated donkey anti-rabbit antibody (green) was used (1:1000, 1h). Cytoplasmic actin was counterstained with Alexa Fluor 555 (red) conjugated Phalloidin (5.25 ?M, 25 min). Nuclei were counterstained with Hoechst 33342 (blue) (10 ?g/ml, 5 min). Pictures were taken on a Biorevo microscope (BZ-900, Keyence). ATG4D (N-term) immunoreactivity is localized to autophagic vacuoles in the cytoplasm of U251 cells.
